When energy feels heavy – How Reiki can bring you back into balance

There are times in the year when we can feel that something within us is shifting. March often carries exactly this kind of energy. Many people feel more sensitive, more emotional, or perhaps a little more tired during this time. Especially around a lunar eclipse, some notice stronger inner movements. Not because something “magical” is happening to us, but because we are deeply connected to the rhythms of nature. The moon moves the oceans. And our bodies are largely made of water as well. So it is only natural that our inner tides sometimes move too. For some, this time brings inspiration and clarity. For others, it may feel heavier — like an inner rise and fall, stronger emotions, or a deep sense of fatigue. In my work as a healer and yoga teacher, I often meet people exactly in these moments.

Not sick.
Not “broken.”

But perhaps a little overwhelmed by life. This is where Reiki can be a beautiful support.

Reiki is a gentle form of energy work that helps the body return to its natural state of balance. During a session, you simply lie down comfortably on a treatment table, fully clothed, in a calm and quiet space. The hands are placed lightly on or above the body.
Nothing is forced.
Nothing is invasive.

And yet, something begins to shift.

The nervous system starts to calm.
The breath becomes deeper.
The body remembers a state of rest and safety.

Several studies have explored Reiki and suggest supportive effects for stress reduction, relaxation, and emotional balance. But often the most meaningful indicator is something very simple:

How people feel after a session.

Many describe a deep sense of peace. Some feel warmth or a gentle flow in the body. Others experience emotional clarity or simply feel lighter. Reiki does not try to force anything. It creates a space where body and soul can remember what balance feels like again. Especially during times when a lot is moving internally, such a pause can be deeply supportive.
