A journey to Peru – back in time, back home
Sometimes the unknown calls—and yet it feels like a return. My journey to Peru was exactly that: an expedition into another world, my first time in South America, a journey back in time.
Departure and inner journey, over 20 hours of flight and a long way to go— I followed an inner call meant solely for me. It was the moment when I knew I had to discover something that would bring me back to self.
The magic of Peru. Peru touched me deeply:
Colors and Craftsmanship: The vibrant colors and artistic craftsmanship brought the streets to life.
Wonders of Nature: The majestic mountains and untouched nature seemed to have a healing power.
Machu Picchu: A world-famous masterpiece that left me in awe. Standing before this ancient wonder, I was almost paralyzed by reverence, overwhelmed by the energy and sublime atmosphere of the place—or perhaps by something much greater that can only be experienced and scarcely put into words.
Coming home – a feeling that remains…..This experience was more than just a journey. It was a feeling of coming home—a feeling that increasingly accompanies me. Wherever I go, I sense a connection to places, people, and special moments that come together like pieces of a puzzle.
And so, every journey brings us a little closer to the home that resides within our hearts.
And now, something a bit warmer… or shall I say heavier? 😉
Living in Cusco, high up in the mountains, was magical—but oh wow, was it cold! So naturally, I layered up. Not with clothes, no no... with five blankets. I'm talking Swiss military–grade, glacier-tested, unmoveable beasts of blankets. 😂
One night, I made a little video for my family, counting each one dramatically: “Look! One, two, three, four... and yes—five!” I was quite proud of my cozy fortress.
Their replies?
– “Are you sure one isn’t missing?”
– “You probably can’t even move at night!”
– “Classic you.”
They know me well. And honestly, if I don’t worry about where I land and what I do—why should they?
I love how my family just goes with it, always ready to laugh and support me, no matter how wild my adventures may seem.Much Love,
Rose 🌹
