Unbecoming to become. The journey back to yourself.
In the beautiful words of Paulo Coelho, "Maybe the journey isn’t about becoming everything. Maybe it’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t really you, so that you can be who you were meant to be in the first place."
These words invite us to pause and reflect on a profound truth: so much of our daily running, our endless striving, isn’t leading us toward true happiness. Instead, it's often steering us away from the essence of who we truly are.
We live in a world where we are constantly trying to please others, meet expectations, and stay within the comfortable confines of what is familiar. Why? Because change scares us. Discomfort unsettles us. But in chasing after everything that seems “safe,” we forget to listen to our own needs, to nourish our own soul. And over time, this creates a deep, silent sadness. Life becomes something we go through rather than something we live fully.
The body knows what the ❤️ hides
The truth is, our bodies carry every unspoken emotion, every suppressed feeling. When we are not happy inside, it manifests in the body, in our health, in the flow of energy that drives us forward. The body doesn’t lie. It whispers our truth through tension, fatigue, and unease. If we ignore these signs, if we keep running on autopilot, the body will eventually shout—through illness, burnout, and pain.
But here's the thing: life doesn’t require us to keep running endlessly. It doesn’t demand that we become someone we’re not just to fit in or feel accepted. Instead, life asks us to stop. To pause. To be present. Because, as they say, the present moment is a true gift. It’s where life really happens.
Be Present, Be You
When we are fully in the present moment, there is no space for overthinking. There's no room for worrying about what others think or trying to control every outcome. The present is pure. It invites us to just be—to connect with ourselves, appreciate how far we’ve come, and recognize the beauty of the journey itself.
Yes, the hard times were real. They were tough. But they were also stepping stones—teachers that showed you your strength, resilience, and capability to rise. These experiences didn’t break you; they built you. And through those challenges, you discovered something powerful: your true strength comes from within. It’s always been there, waiting for you to uncover it.
Protect your energy, choose your path
As you walk this path of unbecoming everything that isn’t truly you, remember this: not everyone will understand. Some people will speak negatively, criticize, or try to bring you down. But know that this isn’t personal. People who are hurting inside project their pain outward. Hurt people hurt others. This isn’t your burden to carry. Their reactions are their own, shaped by their pain and their choices.
What you do have control over is your own choices. You are responsible for deciding who gets access to your energy, who you share your precious time with. Surround yourself with those who uplift, support, and nurture the real you. Its also true, that healed people heal people, because there energie is balanced.
The journey, not the destination
Life is a journey, and there is no single destination. There is no grand prize waiting at the end. The true reward lies in the progress—both big and small. It’s in the everyday moments where we choose joy, gratitude, and love. It’s in waking up each morning with a heart full of appreciation for simply being alive, for having the opportunity to experience this life, with all its ups and downs.
This moment, right now, is the present. It’s a gift. A gift of life, of you, exactly as you are.
Unbecoming is coming home
So, dear soul, do not worry. Do not overthink. Simply be. Be in the present moment. Be with yourself, with compassion and love. Appreciate how far you’ve come, and trust that the unfolding journey is bringing you back to the core of who you were always meant to be. It’s not about becoming someone new. It’s about peeling away the layers that no longer serve you, so that the real you—the radiant, powerful, and whole version of you—can shine.
Life will continue to flow, and so will you. Trust the process. Every experience, even the difficult ones, are stepping stones leading you back to yourself. You are the gift. The journey of unbecoming is truly a journey of coming home.
